Case Study
Stockport Vikings
Supporting a local grassroots football club with social media graphics, Instagram management and a fresh website concept designed to take the club into 2026.
Stockport Vikings is a club with a real sense of community around it, and that is exactly what made this project such a rewarding one to support. Our work has focused on helping the club show up better online, from eye-catching graphics for important club moments to a clearer, more modern digital presence that reflects the energy of the teams behind it.
The brief
Our role was to support Stockport Vikings with a wide range of creative work across social media. That included graphics for player recruitment drives across different age groups, visuals for club announcements and award ceremony posters that helped celebrate the people involved in the team.
Alongside that, we have also supported the club with management of team Instagram accounts and created a proposed new website design aimed at bringing the club into 2026 with a cleaner, more modern and more joined-up online presence.
How we helped
The support we provide for Stockport Vikings is practical, ongoing and built around the real needs of a busy grassroots club. Rather than a one-off job, this has been about creating useful assets that help the club communicate clearly, look more consistent and keep momentum across the season.
From recruitment posts to celebratory graphics, every piece has been designed to feel bold, clear and easy to engage with. The proposed website concept follows the same thinking, giving the club a more polished online home that feels ready for the next stage.
- Social media graphics for player recruitment across multiple age groups
- Award ceremony posters and supporting visuals for club announcements
- Instagram management support for team accounts
- Proposed website design concept to modernise the club's digital presence
The outcome
The result has been a stronger and more consistent digital presence for the club, with social content that helps Stockport Vikings communicate more clearly and look more established online. That matters for everything from attracting new players to celebrating achievements and building a stronger sense of identity across teams.
It has also been especially meaningful as a local project. Jay, director of Piechart Digital, has two daughters who play for Vikings, so being able to support a club that means something to his own family has made the work feel even more worthwhile.
“Helping a local club look sharper, communicate better and move forward online is exactly the kind of work that feels good to be part of, especially when there is a real community behind it.”
